Dramatically carved through an old mining quarry, five of Quail Crossing’s holes are played from abrupt elevation changes. The second shot on the par four 7th hole needs to be strategically placed between high fine fescue-covered hills, the par three 8th drops 40 feet from the tee to a very narrow 3-club green and the 9th hole tees are placed behind a natural quarry lake. The distinctly different look of this area coupled with the rolling wooded farmland used for Quail’s routing make for an interesting round of golf, you will not become bored with each hole offering a different experience and every club in your bag being used.
Careful planning went into the tees at Quail Crossing with four to five boxes every hole. Four sets of tees are set daily affording all caliber of golfers an enjoyable day. A fun yet challenging par 71 with a total yardage of 5,081 from the front tees stretching to 6,758 at the tips. Superbly manicured tees, fairways, and roughs at Quail are in plush Bermuda with large undulating greens in bent grass framed by white silica sand bunkers. Also included at Quail Crossing is the all-inclusive practice facility with artificial and Bermuda grass tees, four bent grass target greens, and a 9,000-square-foot bent grass putting green.
